Joseph · JTM Mobile Auto Repair · I come to you

First I find it.
Then I explain it.
Then I fix it.

I'm a mobile mechanic for the Phoenix metro. I come to your driveway or your parking lot, figure out what your car is actually doing, and walk you through it in plain words before any work starts. You'll know what it needs, and what it costs, before I pick up a wrench. And when nobody else can pin a problem down, that's usually when my phone rings.

Can't talk? Text the same number: tell me the year, make, and what it's doing.

How it goes

One visit, three honest steps

STEP 1 · DIAGNOSE

I test before I touch

I come to the car and check it out properly: scanner on, eyes on, a few things ruled out, until I'm sure what it could be and what it is.

STEP 2 · EXPLAIN

Plain words, exact part

You hear exactly what's wrong in a way that makes sense, which part it needs, and what it costs. No mystery, no upsell, no rushing you.

STEP 3 · FIX

Done means fully done

Then I do the job right where the car sits, no cutting corners, and I don't leave until it's finished.

The Sunday transmission, hours before a concert

A family rolled in from Tucson on a Saturday night and felt the transmission slipping as they hit town. Sunday morning they texted me from their hotel parking lot. I answered, quoted it fair for a Sunday, and drove over. It was worse than either of us hoped, so instead of piling on I laid out the options and went for the most cost effective way to get them home safely: transmission pan down, fluid drained and refilled, just over two hours, in heat north of 110. They made the concert at Talking Stick.

I also told them straight that a rebuild might be in that transmission's future. Not the answer anyone wants, but the true one.

"Joseph got a hold of me within 10min of my text ... He didn't try to jump ship or tax me for that matter. He just tried to find the most cost effective solution ... It was over 110° and he made it happen ... Thank you for being prompt, polite, honest, and for your hard work."

Record 02 Running same day

The problem nobody could name

A diagnostics call on a car that had everyone stumped. I don't guess and swap parts until something works. I find the actual fault, then fix that.

"Called him for diagnostics and was able to figure out what was wrong with my car when others couldn't. Had my car up and running the same day."

Record 03 Repaired, no problem

The oil leak that coated everything

A valve cover leak had oil over the whole engine compartment, eating at the rubber as it spread. I replaced the cover and the parts it took with it, and closed it up clean.

"I had oil coating everything in the engine compartment breaking down rubber parts, it was a nightmare. JTM Mobile Auto Repair came out and repaired it without a problem!"

Record 04 Fully done

The correct part, the long way

Diagnosed it on the first visit and named the exact part. Getting the correct one was the inconvenient way to do it, so that's the way I did it. Came back the next day and stayed until it was finished.

"He took his time carefully removing each part and explained exactly what was wrong with my car in a way I could understand."

Reviewed work

What I get called for

Diagnostics

Check-engine lights, codes, and the hard-to-detect problems. When nobody can tell you what it is, I'll find out.

Oil changes

Done at your place, on your schedule, with the mess in my drain pan instead of on your driveway.

Oil leaks

Valve covers and the parts a leak takes with it. Found at the source, not just wiped down.

Brakes + rotors

Squeaky rotors and brake problems, fixed where you park, until the noise is gone.

Hub bearings

Pressed in on site. A job most people assume needs a shop visit, handled where the car sits.

Transmission service

Pan down, fluid exchanged, and a straight answer about what that transmission needs next.

Something else? Text me the year, make, and what it's doing and I'll tell you if it's a job I take.
